On October 18, 2018, Sydni Owens, daughter of Derek Owens, and Arsba Edrington, son of Westley Edrington received the Anthony Johnson Scholarship Award presented by The Black Shield Police Association. Unique to this ceremony, the Black Shield Police Association has asked Mrs. Tracy Johnson, wife of Anthony Johnson, to present the awards.
