Did you know that The Black Shield has active firefighters as members too?

First Grade Firefighter Antoine Crews:

"We always say 'The blacker the smoke, the harder it is to extinguish' - I believe the same about Black firefighters. There aren't many of us - but we are powerful trailblazers and hard to extinguish."

This graduate of the Martin Luther King Jr. Public Safety High School, is proud to be able to serve the community that raised him, proud to be a Fire Tech instructor and proud to be a Black firefighter.
